Making contact with Pictet:
your CV and cover letter
- Spend the necessary time on these documents, including the visuals. Remember, these initial materials will shape our first impression of your profile.
- Review your CV and cover letter to ensure they genuinely reflect who you are, especially if you used AI to produce your first draft.
- Make sure your CV is concise and clearly structured.
- Your cover letter should complement, not duplicate, your CV by highlighting relevant information not captured there. Draw our attention to what sets you apart.
- If your CV includes a photo, ensure it is professional.
Please ensure that you comply with rules on photographs and other personal data in the country where you are applying.
The recruitment process
This represents the maximum number of stages in the process, depending on business line, the skillsets required, number of applicants and the practices of the various departments and team leaders.
It is possible to apply for more than one position at the same time. But as our HR Business Partners will have access to all your applications, please make sure they are consistent with each other.
Since the Pictet Group focuses on the individual behind each CV and do not rely on AI to review applications, the recruitment process may take a little longer.
We appreciate your patience in this matter.
I was able to channel my curiosity and academic foundation into meaningful industry experience. Graduates remind us that young minds can drive real impact.
The trainers learn as much as the person in training, whether it is about oneself or about the new generation entering apprenticeship.
Nothing is out of reach, but success does not happen by chance. Hard work is always rewarded and every cloud has a silver lining, even in unexpected situations.
It is important for the apprentice to build connections with the entire team and feel engaged.
Taking your time in your career choices is not wasting time; sometimes, it’s the opposite.
Be passionate and be ready to show empathy towards the apprentices.
You are given important responsibilities from day one, which is great for establishing trust with the rest of your team.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. When leaving university, you often feel you should have all the answers. But corporate settings are different. Asking questions is one of the best things you can do.
How to have a successful job interview
Pictet favours a structured yet informal interview style that allows us to understand both your skillset and your personality.
-
Before the meeting
Know yourself: we place great importance on each individual. Self-awareness will help you convey who you are – something that’s essential for both your personal and professional development.
Be prepared: study the job description, research key facts about Pictet and familiarise yourself with the area of business you want to work in.
Identify the transferable skills relevant to the position: highlight the skills developed through your experience and projects, including hobbies, volunteering, student groups and sports clubs.
-
During the conversation
Tell us who you are: introduce yourself, honestly and authentically. Always be ready to support your points with relevant examples.
Show your motivation: explain what aspects of the role inspire you, and demonstrate how your skills can contribute to the mission’s success.
Understand your interviewer: pay attention to your listeners’ cues to help keep the conversation and dialogue on track.
Tips and tricks
If you do not know the answer to a question, say so. Or ask for more time to consider your answer and frame it as best you can.
Be inquisitive: take a genuine interest in your interviewers, ask questions and engage with the information you receive.
Next steps: at the end of the interview, ask about the upcoming stages in the recruitment process.
