Most Board members are chairpersons of globally renowned multinational corporations, along with deans of leading international business schools and Nobel Prize laureates in Economics.
Speaking at the School’s 2026 Advisory Board meeting in Beijing on 13–14 October, Marc Pictet expressed his honour of joining the Board and his commitment to serving as a bridge to foster greater understanding and cooperation in building enduring enterprises and sustaining prosperity across generations.
“As the only Swiss financial firm currently on the Board, Pictet embodies two principles that are fundamental to both the firm and Switzerland: independence and long-term thinking. These may be the most meaningful contributions Pictet can offer Tsinghua's School of Economics and Management. In this changing world, China and Switzerland as well as Europe are entering a new phase of deeper cooperation. An open and constructive dialogue and learning from each other is more vital than ever.”
