Stanislas Chanavat
Principal Private Equity Thematic Technology Pictet
Stanislas Chanavat joined the Group in 2020 as a venture capital investment manager. His responsibilities include the selection & monitoring of venture capital investments and the execution of direct investments in the technology sector. Prior to joining, Stanislas spent more than six years investing in the European technology ecosystem, most recently at Forestay Capital in Geneva. Prior to Forestay, Stanislas was an investor at Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) in London. Stanislas started his career in investment banking at Torch Partners in London, advising technology companies on M&A transactions and fundraisings. He holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Imperial College London.

Chuang Zhu
Principal Private Equity Thematics Technology Pictet
Chuang is a Principal on the Technology Thematics team and joined Pictet Alternative Advisors in January 2024. He has spent his entire career in the private markets with a focus on new technologies. He’s responsible for managing the Pictet Thematics Private Equity Technology funds, notably by setting the strategy, selecting & managing relationships with VC, growth and buyout funds in addition to the execution of direct co-investments in the technology and AI sector, with a primary focus on US and Asia. Prior to joining Pictet, Chuang spent 4.5 years in Direct Private Equity at CDPQ in Singapore where he participated in the firm’s foray into Growth Equity investments focused on Chinese consumer tech and Indian Enterprise technology. Prior to that, he worked for 2 years at Loyal Valley Capital, a Chinese technology growth equity fund in a Fundraising and Investor Relations capacity. Chuang started his career at KPMG Corporate Finance in Montreal and also worked at Apple as a student. Chuang received a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, is a CFA charterholder and is native in French, Chinese and English, in addition to being enthusiast in Spanish.

Nicolas Schwyn
Investment Manager – Private Equity Thematics Technology Pictet
Nicolas joined Pictet Alternative Advisors SA in 2020 as a private equity investment intern before being hired as a private equity analyst in 2021. Nicolas covers private equity funds, secondary transactions, and co-investment opportunities across strategies and geographies in the field of technology. Prior to joining, Nicolas gained experience in strategy consulting at Estin & Co and Oliver Wyman, and in early-stage venture capital at DN Capital. Nicolas holds an M.Sc. in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford and a BSc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
