Renaud de Planta, senior managing partner of Pictet, said, “Rémy has been an exceptional managing partner, professionalising each area that he was responsible for and providing wise counsel with empathy. I have known about his decision to step down from the partnership for quite some time, and we are very pleased to continue to count on him as a non-executive director. We are delighted to welcome Sven to the Board of Partners. He has proven himself at Pictet many times over, not just with what he has achieved, but also how he has done so – always humble and constructive with sharp analysis and diligent execution. He also adds an important younger generational element to the Board of Partners.”

Rémy Best said, “I feel very grateful for these fantastic 25 years. I have had the privilege to work with remarkable teammates and I look forward to continuing to do so as a non-executive director. My decision to step down from the partnership at this time was made years ago, but Pictet remains my home: an amazing and unique company that is always focused on taking a responsible approach and on what is best for our clients.”
