Hedge funds - Our investment solutions

Pictet Alternative Investments is responsible for selecting hedge funds and managing funds of hedge funds. The managers we select use different investment strategies.
 
We also construct tailor-made portfolios designed to meet our clients' specific objectives and requirements. These portfolios can be managed on a discretionary or on advisory basis.

Multi-strategy funds

Mosaic, launched in June 1994, is a multi-strategy fund investing in relative-value, event-driven, opportunistic and long/short strategies.

  • Performance target (annual return): LIBOR +3% to +5%
  • Risk target (annual volatility): 4% to 6%

Mosaic Trading, launched in June 1998, is a multi-strategy fund investing mainly in relative-value, event-driven and opportunistic strategies. The special feature of this fund is that it does not have any exposure to the long/short strategy.

  • Performance target (annual return): LIBOR +4% to +6%
  • Risk target (annual volatility): 5% to 7%

Mosaic Diversified, launched in 2007, is a multi-strategy fund investing in relative-value, event-driven, opportunistic and long/short strategies.

  • Performance target (annual return): LIBOR +3% to +5%
  • Risk target (annual volatility): 4% to 6%

Pleiad, launched in 2005, is a highly diversified multi-strategy fund with low volatility targets. This fund is invested in a balanced way across the range of strategies followed by Pictet Alternative Investments.

  • Risk target (annual volatility): 4% to 3%

Hybrid funds
Argus is a multi-manager fund that combines traditional funds with hedge funds. This product offers diversification in terms of geographical exposure, as it includes emerging markets, and in terms of the underlying strategies, namely long only, long short, event driven, distressed, real estate, natural resources and fixed income.
