Data Management Analyst Developer

Business line: IT Operations Division
Team: Core Banking & Trading Applications
Location: Geneva

Mission
Providing corrective and progressive maintenance of identifying data for the GAIN FDMT application (Financial Data Management Technology, integrated into the Avaloq banking system) and managing possible correlative production malfunctions.

Responsibilities
  • Customising, configuring, deploying and maintaining the user interface, the Pictet data model application with ad-hoc financial flows (Telekurs, Reuters, Bloomberg), the corresponding derivation rules, as well the interfaces with Avaloq and other peripheral systems
  • Involvement in the different stages of functional and technical analysis during the progressive maintenance phases
  • Drawing up and carrying out unit and integration test cases, as well as taking part in tests of new functionalities with users and on occasions leading these tests
  • Accompanying and supporting the releases of new versions
  • Drafting and updating the technical documents for the modules
  • Assuming responsibility for, documenting and writing up incident analysis
  • Providing an alternating "on-call helpline" service

Profile
  • Swiss EPF/ETS engineering degree, or equivalent qualification
  • More than three years' experience in PL/SQL development (SGBDR Oracle 9i and ss.) and data modelling in a banking or financial environment
  • Expert procedural programmer (C, VB, etc.)
  • Knowledge of financial tools and of the management of financial data (equities, bonds, derivatives and structured products, securities trading, etc.)
  • Knowledge of suppliers and of Telekurs VDF, Reuters Datascope, Bloomberg Data Licence financial flows Knowledge of the Avaloq banking system a plus
  • Spoken and written French and English; German would be an advantage
  • Must be resident in Switzerland

As the chosen applicant, you will be thorough and methodical and be able to grasp and fulfil the needs of those using your services. In addition, your ability to synthesise information and identify key issues will enable you to monitor and correct the modules that you develop, thereby ensuring optimum risk management. You will also know how to make good use of your sense of initiative and your listening skills to successfully accomplish all the tasks entrusted to you.
