AIX Administrator

Business line: IT Operations Division
Team: Client Production and Support

Mission
Providing UNIX platform administration and support.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and optimising the monitoring of Unix equipment
  • Providing 2nd-level technical support for the Unix platform
  • Occasional involvement in carrying out technical maintenance work in the evenings and at weekends
  • Documenting the production environment and the administration, unblocking and diagnostics procedures Contributing to the production of run sheets
  • Involvement in the management of the above-mentioned systems, with the aim of optimising infrastructures
  • Contributing to the development and optimisation of internal system-management procedures, using ITIL-based solutions with a service management tool

Profile
  • ETS/HES diploma or equivalent qualification
  • At least three years' experience of working in IT production and in particular of deployment and management of Unix systems
  • In-depth knowledge of AIX 5.3 (VIOS, LPAR and HMC) as well as proven skill in detecting problems in Unix environments
  • Experience of software and hardware maintenance of Unix systems
  • Aix or Solaris certification; or basic knowledge of the Solaris Sun Management Center monitoring tool v.8, 9 and 10, of Veritas file system and of Veritas volume manager under Unix would be a plus
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and network services (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
  • Written and spoken French and English
  • Must be resident in Switzerland

As the chosen applicant, you will be thorough and methodical in your work, with an ability to draft analytical documents and produce technical diagrams. In addition, your experience and skills will allow you to grasp easily the constraints imposed by the IT operations of a bank and to abide by the quality criteria laid down.
