My job in brief "The Finance sector has changed enormously over the past 10 years. We used to analyse the past on the basis of static situations, but now we make projections to try and gain a better picture of what the future might hold. In this regard, we play a major role as far as strategic planning is concerned, both for the managers of the business lines and the partners; indeed, our numbers-based analyses can be used as a basis for developing certain activities. Most of the time, we are dealing with confidential data. Consequently, a great deal of trust is placed in us and we are in direct contact with the business as a whole as far as profitability/return and risk management are concerned. The job is all the more fascinating because we are frequently consulted, and that means we need to have a broad knowledge of the banking industry, of internal processes and of regulations (stamp duty, withholding tax, etc.). The fact that these regulations are becoming increasingly complex certainly doesn't make it any easier to produce financial data. At present, our legal structure means that we are not obliged to publish our annual reports. One of our most important tasks is therefore to ensure that the Group's business activities are in close correlation with the requirements of the global financial, fiscal and regulatory authorities."
