My job in brief The field of investment funds is booming and we are always looking for fresh talent to meet the ever-evolving requirements. Our team has already grown fourfold since 2003 (to 35 people) and we offer some interesting potential for development. Most of our staff are relatively specialised, given the vastness of the realm of funds. The team members are experts in hedge funds and are familiar with these instruments from an operational point of view, although they also have a good knowledge of traditional funds. Given the growing development of this sector, the work remains extremely varied and we are always having to rethink our way of working. In fact, there is still much room for improvement, particularly in terms of automation. Order-related risk management is another motivating aspect of the job. We work closely with our colleagues in the various front-office departments in-house, and I particularly appreciate this personal contact. We are also in continuous contact with some 600 counterparties around the world. It is a job where nothing is ever set in stone: you are always having to negotiate, argue, find back-up solutions, all the time keeping an overview of all sorts of operations.
