2005: our Bicentennial year
| The Bicentennial was a very special year for us, a unique opportunity to reassert the values on which the bank was built and to embrace the future with confidence. |
 After a year of celebrations in all our offices around the world, we can be proud to work with a company that has weathered the passing of time, surviving all the political conflicts and financial crises of the past 200 years – a bank that has always had at its helm a group of Partners working to build a strong corporate culture.Owing so much of our success to Switzerland and to the city of Geneva, we wanted to mark the Bicentennial by supporting projects that highlight the international dimension and the tradition of tolerance and dialogue for which our city and our country are known. In addition, to complement the various Bicentennial commemorations, the Partners decided to issue a number of historical publications: on Pictet itself, on the world's leading financial centres and on the main events to have shaped the world since the bank was originally founded. |
